Sophie Anna Reyer (December 1984 in Vienna) s a lyricist, freelance writer for children's theater, PhD philosopher and composer of classical music. She lives in Vienna.
Life
Sophie Anna Reyer was born in Vienna and lives in Baden. In 2010 Sophie Reyer received both the “Master of Arts ” in composition/music theater as well as her diploma in “scenic writing” at uniT. Since 2018 she has been a doctor of philosophy for language arts and a screenwriter (KHM Cologne). Her most important prizes include the Literature Promotion Prize of the City of Graz and the Manuscript Promotion Prize. In 2017 the theater texts “vogelglück”, “baumleberliebe”, “hundpfarrer” and “Anna and the Wulian” (S. Fischer-Verlag) were created. In 2019 and 2020 she was on the shortlist for the Austria Book Prize with her novels „Mutter Brennt“ (Edition Keiper 2019) and „1431“. Most recently, the works “Clara and Her Murders” (Emons – Verlag) and “1431” (Czernin – Verlag) were published. Sophie Reyer is a lecturer at Pädagogische Hochschule Baden

Sophie Reyer's poems have been printed in various literary journals and anthologies. Her texts have been translated into Serbian, Polish and Spanish.
