Sooraja is a small village of 197.5 hectares in Iglas Tehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sooraja depends on Iglas (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sooraja's pin code is 202145[4], and village code is 01407100. The area of Sooraja is segregated as 380 hectares irrigated area, 6 hectares unirrigated area. the 1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 5 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Iglas (NP) and Aligarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
