Soonagar is a small village of 877 hectares in Keshoraipatan Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Soonagar depends on KESHORAIPATAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Soonagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Soonagar's pin code is 323602[3], and village code is 02749200. The area of Soonagar is segregated as 423 hectares irrigated area, 57 hectares unirrigated, the 72 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 325 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KESHORAIPATAN and Bundi to sell earthen pots and make their living.
