Sonia Wiechec

Sonia Wiechec, Born May 19, 1991, is a competitive swimmer[1] from Canada. She is a butterfly and freestyle specialist[2].

Career

In 2009, she broke the Canadian record[3] in the 4x100 Women's Freestyle Relay in Toronto, Ontario[4]. She moved to Palma de Mallorca, in Spain where she competed for Club Natacion Palma. She won the Women's 100-meter freestyle[5] at Spanish Nationals in Mataro, Spain.

Coaching

In 2021, Sonia is the assistant coach[6] of the high performance group at Camo Natation in Montréal, Canada. She coached Mary-Sophie Harvey (Tokyo 2020 Olympian) and Katerine Savard, (Rio 2016 Olympic medallist) alongside Canadian Coach Greg Arkhurst and Claude St-Jean.
