Somsisar is a small village of 2681 hectares in Taranagar Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Somsisar depends on TARANAGAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Somsisar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. Somsisar's pin code is 331302[4], and village code is 00569900. The area of Somsisar is segregated as 2543.03 hectares unirrigated, the 57.68 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 80.3 hectare area not available for cultivation.
