Somara is a small village of 168 hectares in Baswa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Somara depends on Bandikui, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 112.32% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Somara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Somara's pin code is 303313[4], and village code is 01350300. The area of Somara is segregated as 112.32 hectares irrigated area, 25.54 hectares unirrigated, remaining 30.17 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Somara is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 773 and has total administration over 154 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bandikui and Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
