Solmaz Rashidi (born July 6, 1978) is a Persian - American Technology and Applied Artificial Intelligence executive.[1] Sol Rashidi was part of the team that developed IBM and launch Watson.[2]
About
Rashidi completed her executive course on ‘Disruptive Strategies’ at Harvard, her MBA in Strategy & Leadership at Pepperdine University, The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management in 2005, and has Bachelor's in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. Rashidi has certifications, including Watson Cognitive Computing C101, Watson Cognitive Computing C201, Business Intelligence BI0101, Cyber Security SC103, Master Data Management MDM100, MDM101, and MDM400, SAP Data Services 4.0, SAP MDG 4.1, SAP NetWeaver NW001, SAP Business Solutions SAP125, PMP, and Agile Coach.[3]
Career
In 2010, Rashidi became one of IBM’s Data Leaders with expertise in Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and Master Data Management (MDM). Rashidi worked on AI projects from 2012 – 2014, releasing the first generation of Watson products including Watson Engagement Advisor which was the first Generative AI technology for enterprises.[4]
Rashidi joined Ernst and Young as a Sr. Partner in their Digital and Innovation Division. Rashidi joined Royal Caribbean as a part of their Digital Transformation Leadership team in 2016 as their Chief Data & Cognitive Officer, leading enterprise-scale Global Digital Transformations.[5]
Rashidi joined Sony Music as Executive Vice President, CDO.[6]
Rashidi then joined Merck Pharmaceuticals as their Chief Data and Analytics Officer.[7][8]
