Solkiya Tala is a small village of 2498 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Solkiya Tala depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Solkiya Tala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Solkiya Tala's pin code is 342025[4], and village code is 01980700. The area of Solkiya Tala is segregated as 2168 hectares unirrigated, the 214.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 116 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
