Sokhanda is a small village of 372 hectares in Mangrol Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sokhanda depends on Mangrol, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 120.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Sokhanda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sokhanda's pin code is 325222[4], and village code is 03861100. The area of Sokhanda is segregated as 320 hectares irrigated area, 24 hectares unirrigated, the 28 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
