After completing beauty school in the United States, her unique style and sound, heavily influenced by her upbringing on a relatively isolated island in the West Indies, began to take shape in her music. From a young age, Saint harbored dreams of becoming a global superstar, inspired by the likes of music icons such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Prince.[6]
