Sob is a small village of 1103 hectares in Sikar Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sob depends on Sikar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 42.85% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sob is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Sob's pin code is 332405[4], and village code is 01703300. The area of Sob is segregated as 42.85 hectares irrigated area, 247.57 hectares unirrigated, the 53.54 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 333.35 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sikar to sell mawa and make their living.
