History
Formed in 2022 in Alessandria, Italy, Smash Stereo's lineup consists of Emanuele Ronchi (Synths & Keyboards), Omar Cicchetti (Synths & Keyboards), Alessandro Fontana (Lead guitars & synths), Federico Maraucci (Guitars, mixing & mastering), Gabriele Ricci (Bass), and Emanuele Giannoni (Drums). At the beginning of the project, their name was already “Smash Stereo”, but one day, while playing one of their mixes at home, they reportedly broke a speaker, an event that might have contributed to the name's resonance.
Musical Style and Influences
Smash Stereo's music blends elements of dark techno, EBM, industrial, metal electro, and darksynth. This results in a sound characterized by driving rhythms, aggressive basslines, dark synthesizers, and distorted metal-influenced guitar riffs, creating a high-energy and intense sonic experience.
