Sivani Sangita is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Odia cinema. Having worked as a child artist in various indian daily soaps and movies, she got her major breakthrough in Sister Sridevi co-starring Babushan in 2017.She was selected as one of the State icons by Chief Electoral Officer to spread awareness among voters and conduct sensitization drives for the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha Elections in 2019.[1]
Early life
Sivani Sangita was born on 12th of July 2000 in Cuttack, Odisha. Her father is a captain in the Merchant Navy and her mother is a trained Odissi dancer. She has a younger sister, Sohani Sital. She is an alumni of D.P.S. Kalinga, Bhubaneswar. She is currently pursuing graduation at KIIT, in Journalism and Mass Communication. Stating that acting will always remain her passion, her education will remain her ultimate back up.[2]
She started working in the Odia entertainment industry at the age of six, her biggest support being her maternal grandmother. It was her grandmother's dream to see her as a successful artist and was quite determined to fulfill that dream. She is also a professional dancer trained in Western and Odissi from Odisha Dance Academy. She trained under Padma Shri holder Aruna Mohanty. She also took music lessons during the COVID pandemic, as the shootings were halted.[3]
