Simon Bibby (born November 8, 1974) is a Japanese chess player, originally from England. He is a FIDE Master.
Chess profile
Bibby won the Japan Chess Championship in 2002.He represented Japan at two Olympiads, in Calvia, Spain 2004, and in Chennai, India in 2022.
He is a FIDE Master.[1] As of January 2024, Japan has no Grandmasters, two International Masters, and six FIDE Masters.[2]
He plays for Osaka, the 2023 winners of the Japan Team Championship.[3]
Personal life
He is a faculty member at Kobe Shoin Women's University in Kobe, Japan.
