Simon Ateba is Chief White House Correspondent for Today News Africa. Simon covers President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, the U.S. government, the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other financial and international institutions in Washington D.C. and New York City. Ateba was born in Cameroon in central Africa before later living in Nigeria where he worked for nine years for The News Magazine, one of Nigeria's most iconic political publications.[3] Chief White House Correspondent for Today News Africa In December 2021, Ateba repeatedly clashed with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki over the Omicron-linked travel ban Joe Biden imposed on eight African nations.
