Simara is a small village of 1153 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Simara depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Simara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Simara's pin code is 322243[4], and village code is 01260000. The area of Simara is segregated as 63.25 hectares irrigated area, 95.44 hectares unirrigated, the 76.99 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 339.72 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Simara is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1196 and has total administration over 258 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Karauli to sell ghee and make their living.
