Shuchita Sharmin is a Bangladeshi academic who was vice chancellor of Barishal University (BU) from September 2024[1][2][3][4][5][6] until May 2025.[7]
Career
Sharmin started her career as a lecturer in 2003 and progressively promoted to an Assistant professor, Associate Professor and Professor. She completed her BSc and MSc from Dhaka university in Psychology and obtained the 1st position in the 1st class in both the examinations. She is PhD in Development Studies. She is the professor of the Department of Development Studies at Dhaka University (DU).[8]
And she has been appointed as the first lady vice chancellor of Barishal University.[9]
