Shu-Ha Yeh (Chinese: 葉樹涵, 1957- ) is a Taiwanese trumpet player who has served as a professor in the Department of Music at National Taiwan Normal University.

Life and Career

Shu-Ha Yeh began learning the trumpet at the age of 16. In 1980 he graduated from the Department of Music at National Taiwan Normal University. In 1982 he was awarded a scholarship from the French government and went to study at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris. There, he studied under Professor Marcel Lagorce, the principal trumpet player of the Paris Symphony Orchestra, and graduated with first honors in 1984. After returning to Taiwan, he became active in the classical music scene. In 1986 he received the Golden Tripod Award for Best Performance and founded the Yeh Shu-Han Brass Quintet.[1]

He has served as the principal trumpet player of the National Symphony Orchestra, conductor of the KuangJen Catholic High School Orchestra, and is currently the conductor of The China Youth Corps Wind Orchestra. He also teaches at institutions such as the National Taiwan Normal University and Taipei National University of the Arts. Shu-Ha Yeh was invited to be the official voice actor for Mickey Mouse in Taiwan between 1990 and 2001.[2]
