Ahead of the appointment of the new BJP president, the RSS on Monday decided to depute two of its functionaries – Ram Madhav and Shiv Prakash – to its political saffron affiliate BJP.

बीजेपी में राष्ट्रीय सह-संगठन मंत्री के तौर पर कामकाज संभाल रहे शिव प्रकाश बीते कई साल से चुपचाप बंगाल में काम कर रहे हैं। राष्ट्रीय स्वयं सेवक संघ की ओर से 2014 में आम चुनावों के बाद उन्हें बीजेपी का दायित्व सौंपा गया। यानी उनकी पार्टी में आधिकारिक एंट्री 2014 में हुई।

शाह ने विजयवर्गीय को ममता के सामने खुलकर उतारा तो बैकरूम रणनीति बनाने और उसे अमली जामा पहनाने का काम शिवप्रकाश को दिया. जिला स्तर पर संघ की तरह समर्पित और जुझारू कार्यकर्ताओं की फ़ौज तैयार करने के अपने महत्वाकांक्षी मिशन बूथ विस्तारक योजना को भी शाह ने शिवप्रकाश को सौंपा. 2017 में वह जिला विस्तारक योजना के अखिल भारतीय प्रमुख बनाए गए. आज पूरे देश में सभी जिलों में जिला विस्तारक बन चुके हैं यानी यह मिशन संपूर्ण हो चुका है.

Shiv Prakash will continue to function as joint general secretary (organization) and work in West Bengal till the Assembly elections due in April-May. However, he has been moved from the Lucknow region to Bhopal and will no longer be in charge of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In addition to West Bengal, he will handle Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

Another joint organisational secretary Shiv Prakash will continue with the same post with some changes in responsibilities. Mr. Prakash, who was earlier looking after the party's work in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, will now be positioned in Bhopal and look after the BJP's work in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and West Bengal.
