Htet Shine Aung ((Burmese language; born September 9, 1998), better known by his online alias Shinelayz, is an Myanmar streamer, Internet celebrity, YouTuber, Dota 2 Sports commentator and founder of XNINETV. [1] He is best known for his music video reaction contents. His Facebook Gaming Channel, StreamingbyShinelayz currently has over 1.1 million subscribers.

Personal life and education

Shinelayz was born in Yangon, the heart of Myanmar in 1998. He was raised by his grandmother in Yangon due to his parents working in a town in a rural area. Shinelayz spent his childhood with his parents every summer. He was the eldest son and has a younger sister. He attended No.4 Basic Education High School, Alone Township in Yangon and graduated with B.A (Economics) from the West Dagon University. [2]

Career

Shinelayz has developed his interest in gaming in his very young age. According to his interview, he got a Nintendo as a present from his dad at the age of 4. From that time onwards he started interest in gaming and ever since then gaming became his favorite hobby and later his Career. His parents always scolded him whenever he sneaked out to Internet café to play games.[2] But he continued to seek his gaming and casting career. [3] Shinelayz got is popularity when he won the awards for Fan Favorite Influencer and Gaming Influencer at the Myanmar Influencer Awards 2018. He is the first in the gamers to won this award.[4] The Award Show featured Myanmar's top influencers from artists to food vloggers, entertainment and lifestyle to health and travel influencers as well. Commentator

While he is attending Grade 9, he started playing Dota with his friends at his uncle's Internet gaming café. At 2016, he was recruited by the first Dota streaming channel, Game Cast Network Myanmar [7] as the first game caster in Myanmar.[8] One of the milestones of his game casting career was participating in Masters Manila 2017 which was organized by the Mineski Events Team in Philippines and supported by ESL (company), as a Myanmar representative game commentator. [9] He casted He is actively casting on Friendschannelmm (Burmese language Channel) for Samsung PUBG Championship 2020. He found XINE Channel and hosted XNINE Myanmar Dota2 Online Championship in 2019. [10] He also host weekly tournaments on his Facebook channel collaboration with Lighthouse Esports.Ent and EZGame. Reaction Video Content Creation

One of the factors which made Shinelayz got recognized and more popular was his reaction music videos.[12] He is well-known for his videos. He created more than 10 videos and most of the video got over one million viewers. [13] Although he uploaded only on his StreamingbyShinelayz Facebook page, his fans shared and re-uploaded his video contents on YouTube and their social media accounts. [14]

Streamer

While Shinelayz was working with GCN as a Gamecaster, he started streaming Dota 2 at his Facebook profile in 2016. In November 2017, He started his own Facebook gaming page, StreamingbyShinelayz, and officially started his streaming career. As he has devoted himself exclusively to his Facebook channel only, StreamingbyShinelayz reached one million followers in December 2020.

Brand Ambassadorship and Endorsement

Shinelayz is now the Legendary Gaming Ambassador of the International Telecommunication Telenor in Myanmar Region along with Su Htat. He is also a KOL for Men’s Personal Care Products of another International Brand, Nivea, Grand Royal Whiskey: International Beverages Trading, Vivo (technology company).
