Shifu Kanishka (Born 3rd August 1977) a martial artist[1], action choreographer[2], martial arts mentor[citation needed], Indian army combat trainer[3], motivational Speaker at Tedx[4] and Josh Talks [5]and the founder of Shifu Kanishka Combatives. Shifu Kanishka trained at The Shaolin Monastery where he was give the title of Shifu. by the abbot of the temple. Shifu Kanishka trained under Leo Gaje and introduced the Filipino martial arts combat style Pekiti-Tirsia Kali to Special forces of India

in 2016 he established the Shaolin Gurukul a residential school for combative arts in Uttarakhand[6] state of India. He has appeared in various Indian shows such as Discovery India's India's Ultimate Warrior and Seven Deadly Arts with Akshay Kumar ,appeared in and episode of Mano Ya Na Mano (2006 TV series) Shifu Kanishka made his debut in the movie[7] Goal (2007 Hindi film) .Kanihska choreographed action sequences in the Don (movie) where he trained Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra Shah Rukh Khan Arjun Rampal in various forms of Shaolin Kung fu[8] , Madhuri Dixit in Shaolin Kung fu and Filipino martial arts[9] Pekiti Tirsia Kali for the movie Gulaab Gang. Trained Sanjay Dutt in Filipino style combat training

Early Life

Shifu Kanihska Sharma was born in Lucknow his mother hailed from the princely Gaurihar State and grand mother Saroj Kumari Gaurihar a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly and participated in the Quit India Movement. Father Udayan Sharma hailed from a family of Indian freedom fighters and was a renowned journalist and author who wrote for Indian weekly Dharmyug, Ravivar magazine and Amar Ujala. Shifu Kanihska's early education was at the Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and he completed is post graduation Master of Business Administration from Maastricht University
