The Sheriff of Cochise is a TV series that ran from 1956 to 1958 and was succeeded by the later series U.S. Marshal. Both series feature John Bromfield in the title role as Frank Morgan, the sheriff turned marshal.

The Premise

Frank Morgan is the Sheriff of Cochise County, and his duties force him to go after people breaking the law in his home county (and later the state, when his predecessor as Marshal is gunnel down in "The Witness."). These include robbers, thugs, con artists, killers and other breakers of the law. The series is based on the exploits of a real life Sheriff of Cochise and is set in modern times.[1]
