Shekhala is a small village of 1917 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shekhala depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 5.15% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Shekhala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Shekhala's pin code is 342025[4], and village code is 01981000. The area of Shekhala is segregated as 39 hectares irrigated area, 1724.24 hectares unirrigated, the 99.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 54.9 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Shekhala has One post office (Setrawa S.O) and One public telephone. Shekhala has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Shekhala is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2966 and has total administration over 483 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
