Shaw Jones is an American actor who appeared in the films Proximity, Blue, The Fifth of November and Dust to Dust.
Personal life
As the son of Pat Walsh and Hall Jones, Shaw Jones grew up in Memphis, Tennessee as a drummer and a boxer at Memphis University School.[1] He spent much of his time with his brothers at Sigma Alpha Epsilon.[2] After he earned a degree in psychology at Southern Methodist University,[1] Jones decided to take up acting.[2]
Career
Dust to Dust (1994)
Jones auditioned for Dust to Dust after a teacher of his allowed him to read part of the film's screenplay.[2] It was his first full-length film which he co-starred alongside Robert Vaughn and Willie Nelson. At 23, he played a 16 year old cowboy named Billy, who lived on a valuable watering hole property. Vaughn played an untrustworthy mayor who tried to take over his land and Nelson played a lawyer. Jones compared the production of the film to a religious experience that changed him in his heart.[1]
2009-2020
In 2009, Jones starred as a model suffering from amnesia after a car accident in Gordon Bressack's FUGGEDABOUTIT! at Hudson Backstage Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.[3] By 2020, Jones was in cast in Blue, Proximity, Proxy, Nightingale and several network television shows.[4]
