Sharad Kohli (born April 2, 1966) is a renowned Indian economist, entrepreneur, tax guru, finance specialist, fashion icon, and speaker. He is the founder of the KCC Group, a multidisciplinary advisory group. He is an accomplished professional with expertise in finance, economics, business, and stock markets.
A CA by profession, Kohli also holds a law and management degree and is a frequent contributor to several recognized publications, such as The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, and The Economic Times. Owing to his deep knowledge and understanding of complex financial issues and topics, he has been recognized as a startup guru by HT & TOI for mentoring and guiding hundreds of start-ups, as well as a tax guru by CNBC Awaaz and as an Economist by other News Channels in India.
Kohli is also a renowned speaker and has traveled both internationally and nationally, delivering talk shows, debates, and speeches on various finance and economics related topics. He has appeared on over 100 TV, radio, and digital platforms.

Early life and education
Kohli was born and raised in Ghaziabad, India, the eldest son of JL Kohli and Shobha Kohli. As a child, he had a keen interest in sports and spirituality, and he attended Holy Child School in Ghaziabad and KV Hindon Air Force Station for his schooling.
Sharad Kohli received his Bachelor of Commerce from SOL, Delhi University, in 1987 and simultaneously qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988. He further obtained a law degree from CCS University, Meerut, and a post-graduate diploma in management from Kolkata. He became a member of the ICAEW and completed finance management at Harvard University in 2009. In recognition of his active participation in the media, Kohli has also been awarded an honorary doctorate in economics by the ITU, USA, in 2017.
Career
In 1990, Kohli established Kohli Chitkara & Co., an accounting firm. He later founded the KCC Group, a multi-disciplinary advisory group with interests in wealth management, garments, fashion and lifestyle branding, law practice, and stock markets. Under the brand KCC, the group provides consulting services to corporate and non-corporate clients in India and abroad. The innovative service products launched by his companies have contributed to their success over the last 33 years.
Kohli began his career in the media in 2016 with business channels such as CNBC Awaaz and Zee Business. Since then, he has made around 2700 media appearances on over 100 TV, radio, and digital platforms, and has traveled the globe moderating and participating in talk shows and debates on a range of economics, business, finance, and taxation-related topics.
Kohli has also worked on paralegal and business consulting projects throughout North America, Australia, Western Europe, the Middle East, and Eastern and Southern Africa. Over the past three decades, he has presented numerous sessions on multiple domestic and international platforms concerning macroeconomics, finance, entrepreneurship, taxes, and stock markets.
As a columnist, Kohli has written on startups and economy related subjects for prominent newspapers such as HT, TOI, and ET, and for a number of other business journals and periodicals. He was also the first-ever winner of Mr. India in the married men category.
