Shane Hewitt is a Canadian radio broadcaster, podcast host and motivational speaker. Hewitt is best known as host of the Shane Hewitt & the Nightshift talk radio show on the iHeart Talk Radio Network

Career

Shane Hewitt's radio career began on college radio at SAIT in the CTSR Cinema Television Stage and Radio Program in 1996.Under the on-air moniker Zack Hewitt or Z-MAN, Hewitt was part of the CJAY 92 line-up in from 1999 through 2003 as evening host[1] Shane Hewitt moved on to be midday host in the fall of 2002.[2]

In 2003-2004, Hewitt hosted the morning show at HTZ-FM in St. Catharines[3], 2004-2006 at CFGQ-FM in Calgary[4]. He later joined CKCE-FM in Calgary, where he worked from 2007 to 2016[5][6]. From 2016 through 2019, on CFGQ-FM[7] in Calgary.

The Shift with Shane Hewitt

Shane Hewitt hosted The Shift with Shane Hewitt, a national late-night talk show that aired on Corus Entertainment’s Global News Radio Network. was the official launch date of The Shift with Shane Hewitt,[8] after providing interim host duties. The show title changed in July 2020 (2020-07) as a replacement for The Shift with Drex following the departure of host Justin "Drex" Wilcomes.[9]

The Shift was broadcast on Corus-owned radio stations, including 980 CKNW Vancouver, 770 CHQR Calgary, 630 CHED Edmonton, 680 CJOB Winnipeg, 640 Toronto, 900 CHML Hamilton, and 980 CFPL London.[10] The program aired until its cancellation in November 2023.[11]

Shane Hewitt & the Nightshift

Launching in July 2024, Shane Hewitt began hosting Shane Hewitt & the Nightshift[12] [13], a national talk radio show, on iHeart Radio Talk Network with Bell Media Radio. There is also a podcast version of the show.[14]
