Shane Fordham (born April 10, 2001) is an American reporter and journalist for ABC News Now Channel 13 in the Hampton Roads Virginia Area.
Early years
Fordham was born on April 10, 2001, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Haverford School, where he played football on the Varsity Football Team and contributor to the school newspaper. Graduated Magna Cum Laud in 2023 with a degree in journalism. Shane is the son of Monique Braxton, former 3-time Emmy Award Winning Reporter and Anchor (NBC in Philadelphia and MSNBC) and S. L. Fordham, former campaign manager for Mayor John Street (D) Philadelphia, and former Senior Advisor to the Mayor.
College Years
Played as an outside linebacker and special teams from 2019-2023 and graduated May 2023. During this time, he completed internships at the local NBC, ABC, and CBS stations in Virginia and also at the ESPN network station in North Carolina. Fordham also completed an on-air internship with Z104 Shaggy & Friends.
Shane also received recognition for a documentary he produced on his maternal grandfather who served in World War II and is one of the Montford Point Marines born in 1924. This film is now a part of the permanent collection of the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Va.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
