Shamda is a small village of 1413 hectares in Mandawar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Shamda depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 99.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Shamda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Shamda's pin code is 301412[4], and village code is 00783100. The area of Shamda is segregated as 893 hectares irrigated area, 354 hectares unirrigated, the 92 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 74 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Shamda is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3068 and has total administration over 509 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
