Sewantri is a small village of 1472 hectares in Kumbhalgarh Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sewantri depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Sewantri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sewantri's pin code is 313333[4], and village code is 02998500. The area of Sewantri is segregated as 97 hectares irrigated area, 74 hectares unirrigated, the 483 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 200 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 404 male, 293 female with 507 (72.74%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 347 males and 160 females. 118 males and 59 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 57 male and 38 female agricultural labor. 190 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell ghee and make their living.
