Seraj Eddin Alsharaby[1][2] (5 Jul 1920 - 2 March 2005) was a colonel of the Syrian Arab Republic Army Air Forces.

Military Life

Colonel Seraj joined the French army during the French mandate of Syria and Lebanon which also referred to as the Levant State (1923−1946).

Colonel Seraj were also sent to the Great Britain to receive an advanced military training and courses.[1]

Achievements

Colonel Seraj Eddin Alsharaby military medal for the establishment of the United Arab Republic between Syria and Egypt. Air force colonel Seraj, was one of the co-founders of the official Syrian Arab Republic army in (1946), when the French troops eventually left Syria and Lebanon, which had both declared independence during World War II.

In 1958, colonel Seraj merited a military medal for the establishment of the United Arab Republic between Syria and Egypt.

He merited many more military medals for his nobility and valor during his military career.

The end

On 11 March 1963, colonel Seraj was forcely retired after the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party military coup took place in Syria.

He left Syria and settled in the UAE.
