Semli Chauhan is a small village of 919 hectares in Pirawa Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Semli Chauhan depends on Pirawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Semli Chauhan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Semli Chauhan's pin code is 326034[4], and village code is 04115800. The area of Semli Chauhan is segregated as 93.04 hectares irrigated area, 283.05 hectares unirrigated, the 409.3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 104.31 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pirawa and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
