Semla is a small village of 820 hectares in Pirawa Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Semla depends on Pirawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 154.10% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Semla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Semla's pin code is 326513[4], and village code is 04103900. The area of Semla is segregated as 154.1 hectares irrigated area, 473 hectares unirrigated, the 147 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 46 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Semla is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1660 and has total administration over 378 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pirawa and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
