Semla is a small village of 134 hectares in Beawar Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Semla depends on Beawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Semla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Semla's pin code is 305901[4], and village code is 02521700. The area of Semla is segregated as 8.25 hectares irrigated area, 30.26 hectares unirrigated, the 11.3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 84.4 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Beawar and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
