Selvi Kılıçdaroğlu (premarital surname Gündüz; born 1952; Ballıca, Nazımiye, Tunceli), is a Turkish journalist. She is the wife of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the leader of CHP.[2]
Private life
In 1974, she got married to her cousin Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu whom she had never met until she was in highschool. She dropped out of university due to her marriage.[3] She had 3 children from this marriage.[2] One child of the Kılıçdaroğlu couple died 3 months old.[4] On her husband Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu getting into politics, she has stated that "she doesn't approve of it but she also respects him for doing what he loves".[5]
