Selim Saied (born 9 March 2003) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League South club Farnborough.

Career

Following spells with CB Hounslow United[1] and Leatherhead[2] in his youth, Saied joined Woking in 2019 and went onto sign his first senior deal a year later.[3] During his inaugural campaign, he spent time out on loan at nearby neighbours, Westfield[4] before making his debut during a 4–2 home defeat to Weymouth, replacing Paul Hodges with five minutes remaining.[5] On 24 June 2021, Saied signed a new one-year deal with the club after featuring twice the previous campaign.[6] He subsequently went to spend the season out on loan, having spells at Sheerwater,[7] Slough Town[8] and most notably, Farnborough where he clinched promotion to the National League South, following play-off success.[9]

Following his departure from Woking,[10] Saied opted to return to Farnborough initially signing on a non-contract basis[11] before impressive form earned him a professional deal in October later that year.[12] He went onto finish the campaign collating 40 appearances and scoring five goals, attracting interest of numerous EFL sides, including Barnsley with whom he trialled with during the 2023–24 pre-season.[13]
