Seda Oturan is a well known fashion designer, creative mind, founder and owner of 25th Hour Lingerie brand, and social media public figure who was born on 18 June 1986 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Early Life

Seda Oturan completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul, Turkey. At the age of 15, was selected as ballet and music talent by Mujdat Gezen Art Center [1]; designed, and sewed the dance clothes at the art school. While obtaining ballet education from Mujdat Gezen Art Center[1]. Right after finalizing trainings, and education she started her first fashion show at the age of 16 at Ozgurluk Parki, Goztepe, Kadikoy, Istanbul, Turkey[2].

Education

Started fashion career at an early age, and continued in undergraduate studies at Istanbul Technical University[3] in the department of Fashion Design[4][5][6] a program designed by ITU - FIT SUNY (Fashion Institute of Technology State University of New York)[7][8]; the affiliated Institute of Fashion Design and Textile, and Technologies & Fashion[9] and was graduated in 2011.

While continuing fashion design education at ITU; worked as an assistant designer (junior) alongside Gianni Stracquadanio at Monica Ricci[10], and BGN workshop designer brands.

In the senior year at ITU was able obtain a spot at Politecnico di Milano University (POLIMI)[11] in Fashion Design Department (design Della Moda) to continue further education in the field of Fashion Design.[12] She graduated in 2012 as a Salutatorian from POLIMI.

Was granted full scholarship in 2013 from Istituto Marangoni[13] in Milano, Italy to pursue studies in Fashion Styling and Fashion Image Consulting[14] where she obtained her degree in 2014.

Passion in education leads to pursue graduate studies at Istituto Di Moda Burgo to obtained Masters Degree in Fashion[15] where she graduated in 2015.

Fashion Career

While studying at Istituto Di Moda Burgo, worked as an image consultant at Italy's major fashion brand Dixie[16] (2015 - 2016 ). In 2013, founded her brand 25th Hour Lingerie in Milan (Italy)[17][18][19][20]. 25th Hour Lingerie, a luxury lingerie brand with an artistic icon; "The 25th hour is that extra hour everyone always wishes to have in the day. It's a private time to dedicate to ourselves and our dreams and precious moments away from the usual routine"[21].It is a luxury boutique brand consisting several collections.[22] Creating functional designs and original models has been her philosophy.

All collections carry the spirit of the designer. While preparing the collections, the designer focused on the women's imagination, and designed underwear collections with functional parts that can be removed, added or configured based on desires parts to make it look more or less. Another unique aspect of the stylist is that her creation of Turkey's first luxury boutique underwear clothing brand, and first famed in Italy[23], and then in the world. Le Donatello sisters wore pieces from the the stylist and was covered by Playboy magazine. Designer participated "Who's Next Pret a Porter Paris" fashion show in 2015, "Underwear Fashion Week" in Sanremo, Italy in 2017, and also showcased a sensational fashion show at Milan Fashion Week (MFW) showcasing her Timeless Collection.

After participation in fashion fairs in Milan, Italy (2015–2018) the designer became known abroad as a Turkish underwear designer. She has been interviewed by several magazines including Vogue Magazine Turkey[24], and others[25][26][27][28] Fashion designer lived in Milan, Italy for 8 years, has produced collections for since 2013. Collaborated with Lamperti Milano brand for private collections for 25th Hour Lingerie in 2017-2018. Worked as a Turkish Underwear Designer affiliated to ITKIB for Ten Lingerie / Istanbul in 2016 – 2017. Prepared underwear design collection projects for London Bridge Project Company in 2018-2019. Prepared special collections for the Gualtiero Srl brand in Tunisia in 2018. Worked as a design consultant for the underwear brand Elena Di Cuori in Italy in 2019. Prepared a special collection with the Femme De Mars brand and held a fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in Moscow, Russia in 2019[29][30][31]. She has taught Underwear History and Underwear Design Courses at Vakko ESMOD[32] - International Fashion Academy (Fashion Design & Business France) in 2020; "little-known history of the world of underwear".

Among those famous names who wear Seda Oturan's lingerie line are: Ayse Hatun Onal, Ayse Kucuroglu, Bade Iscil, Bilge Onal, Clizia Incorvaia, Cagla Sikel, Deniz Akkaya, Didem Soydan, Dila Tarkan, Ece Begum Yucetan, Ege Kokli, Elena Barolo, Ezgi Mola, Gildakoral Flora, Gizem Barlak, Hande Can, Hande Dogandemir, Le Donatella, Meric Kuçuk, Mikaela Fotiadis, Nikita Pelizon Nil Erturk, Nilperi Sahinkaya, Pelin Akil[33], Rosie Huntington-Whiteley[34], Selin Sekerci, Senem Kuyucuoğlu, Serel Yereli, Sibel Arna, Sita Abellan and Yasemin Allen.

Designer worked with famous photographers such as Adriano Russo, Alex Belli, Asya Cetin, Amr Ezzeldinn, Baran Dogan, Can Dagaslani[35], Cesare Cicardini, Ece Gurlu, Elif Demiralp, Gokhan Yorgancı, Iside Pellegrino Preite, Nihat Odabasi, Onur Dag and Serkan Mumcu.

Personal Life

Seda Oturan, who continues to make a name for herself without losing her personality loves water therapy, advance yoga practice. She has been taking Gastro-Philosophy courses from Ayhan Coner since 2020. She is also a professional diving expert (advanced open water diver), a sailor, and a genuine travel enthusiast!
