Scott Tommey is a Nigerian businessman, consultant and philanthropist. He is known for being an astute entrepreneur with interest in oil and gas, mining, maritime and consultancy. The Akwa Ibom born entrepreneur founded a reputable company in the country known as Osmoserve Global Limited where he serves as Managing Director/Chairman based in the Niger Delta region of the country.[1] Scott Tommey hails from a royal family of Tommy Ikott, Afia Nsit village in Eket local government Akwa Ibom State.[2]

Business

Tommey, the Chief Executive Officer of Osmoserve Global Limited has remained focused and committed to his business over the years earning him a reputation as the lion of nsit.[1] The company was formed to help also address the infrastructural challenges in the Niger Delta and bring infrastructural transformation in the region by creating jobs and employment opportunities for so many unemployed youths in the region. The indigenous company has earned the founder a reputation among top business executives in the country.[3] He holds a Masters in Business Administration from University of Bauchi, Bauchi State.[4]

Family life

Scott Tommey is married to Seiyefa Jessica whom he met several years ago in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Mrs Seiyefa hails from Bayelsa State, Nigeria and their relationship have been described by those close to them as love at first sight.[5] They are blessed with children among them are triplets whose birth made headlines in some of the top news media outfits in the country. The couple who did not have wait for so many years to be blessed with children count themselves lucky to have enjoyed marital fruitfulness.[6]

Social life

During his 40th birthday he celebrated the occasion in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he hosted family, friends and top celebrities all at his own cost. This raised greater anticipation for what he will do next when his wife turned forty as speculators expected another glam and bash of celebration from the couple.[7] Scott Tommey’s reputation has also drawn the attention of even those at the helm of government which is why he was short listed for appointment into the advisory council by the Buhari/Osibanjo led government but he declined the offer stating clearly his non-political stance and decision not to be involved in government. The administration well known for anti-corruption and economic change was reported to offer Mr Tommey an opportunity to be part of the advisory council prior to the 2019 elections.[8]
