Scott Thompson (born February 15, 2007), also known as "7saturns", is an American singer-songwriter and music producer. He started producing at age 11, but started taking music serious in November 2021, with the releases of many back-catalogue projects, such as 'White Peonies', 'RAINMAN (EP)', and 'The Ends of the Earth', under the name "Recluse", alongside music partner, Austin Bryant ("saint austin").[1]

In April 2022, Scott transformed his career as an instrumentalist into singing and songwriting; sparking the, now archived, release of 'Cold Winter Nights (featuring Blackgod)'. Tracks preceding this era have as well since been archived.

Early life

Scott Thompson was born in Florida, where he discovered music production through the internet and developed a passion since age 11.[2] During this era, he created 'amateur trap beats', as stated in an interview.[3] Eventually, he took a break from his passion, until years later, when discovering this passion once again; stating in an interview that he was "inspired by artists like Joji" and "once I hear something, I have to have it... once I hear a song I like, I can't just listen to it, I gotta be the type to make something that resonates with me as heavily as that song did."[3]

Career

After releasing beats with his friend Austin, Scott went on to create RnB infused antipop, and even atmospheric tracks, such as the December 2022 release of 'Stella'.[4] He claims that this track opened his eyes to how the industry works and has inspired him to keep going.

In March 2023, Scott Thompson released 'Poison', along with a sped-up version of the track, included in the release. This song quickly gained traction as a laid-back, anthemic pop song.[5]
