Scott Liddell (born in Edinburgh, January 1970) is an award-winning photographer and author[1]. In 2013, he set up the Dark Edinburgh website[2], publishing a single photograph each day of Edinburgh taken at night.[3]
By 2023, he had published over 3500 photographs, never missing a day, and has over 100,000 social media followers. A book of his photographs was published in 2022; this won the Favourite Scottish Nature Photography Book Award for 2022.[4][5] Liddell held an annual lecture at Edinburgh University[6] and the City Art Centre gallery[7] each year from 2015-2018 as part of the Festival of Museums initiative[8][9][10]. His first solo photography exhibition took place at The Four Pegs Gallery in Edinburgh in October 2022.[11]
Liddell is the author of three books of fiction.[12]
