The Schroder Japan Trust plc (SJG), is an investment trust based in the United Kingdom, operating in the equity investments instruments sector.[1].

Investments by the trust are made in securities listed on the Japanese stock market but can also be made where companies may be controlled by Japan or have exposure to its economy[2].

Its portfolio is varied with interests in industrials, technology and consumer cyclicals among others[3]. The investment trust is currently managed by Masaki Taketsume and has a board of five independent directors[4]

History

The Schroder Japan Trust plc was founded in 1994 under its original name, the Schroder Japan Growth Fund plc[5]. It is based in London and appears on the London Stock Exchange with the ticker denoting its former name[6][7]
