Scarlet Sofia Spencer (born 28 February 2002) is an American child actress. She is best known for her roles as Ivy in Nickelodeon sitcom series Cousins for Life, Xan in Netflix Shameless (American TV series) and Izzy in Netflix series BlackAF.[1]
Early Life
Scarlet Sofia Spencer was born on 28 February 2007 at Washington, D.C. She then moved with her parents to Los Angeles where she currently stays.
Career
Scarlet started her career by going to numerous film schools and participating in theatre productions. She has featured in many commercials and modelling shoots. In 2018, she was casted for a role in nickeledeon series Cousins for Life as Ivy.[2][3][4] In 2019, it was announced that Scarlet Spencer had landed the role of Izzy in Netflix series BlackAF alongside Kenya Barris, Rashida Jones, Iman Benson and others which was released in 2020.[5][6][7] She has also featured in Netflix Bright (film) as Sofia Ward alongside Will Smith, Joel Edgerton and Noomi Rapace among others.[8][9]
She has also had roles in Awkward (TV series) as a cute girl, Promising Young Woman where she had minor roles.
