Saynab Ugas Yasin Ugas is a Somali politician and gender activist[1]. Saynab is the daughter of Ugas Yasin. In 1998 she became member of puntland parliament and retained the seat until 2007, serving two consective terms. Later she held cabinet portfolio serving as the Deputy Minister of Finance of northeastern region of Puntland. Mrs. Yasin is well known for her voice on women inclusion in politics.[2]

Personal life

Yasin was born in Bosaso in 1964, she hails from Dishiishe clan, a subclan of Darod.
