Sayem Sobhan Anvir born on 31 January 1981 is a Bangladeshi Mother Teresa Awards winning businessperson.[1][2][3] He is the managing director of Bashundhara Group.[3]
Education and career
His education began at King's School in Ely, Cambridgeshire, UK. In 2001, he graduated from American International University in London with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. On September 16, 2001, he debuted as the Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group.[3]
Munia Jahan Suicide Case Controversy
On 26 April 2021, in Gulshan, a college student named Munia committed suicide in a flat.[4] On 6 September 2021, Munia’s sister Nusrat Jahan Tania filed a case in Dhaka’s Eighth Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal against Anvir.[5] The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has submitted a report on 19 October 2022, proving Anvir had been in a relationship for around two years, he used to visit Munia’s flat in Gulshan regularly, but he isn't responsible for suicide.[4][6]
