Sawidar is a small village of 1339 hectares in Bhinmal Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sawidar depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 181.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Sawidar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sawidar's pin code is 343049[4], and village code is 02304900. The area of Sawidar is segregated as 181 hectares irrigated area, 694 hectares unirrigated, the 109 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 355 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
