Saurabh Dwivedi (Hindi:सौरभ द्विवेदी) is an Indian Journalist and founding editor of The Lallantop Show, a Hindi news and media web portal owned by the India Today Group[1][2][3]. He is popular for his unique style of news presentation using simple and colloquial words.[4][5] He anchors some of the popular shows on the Lallantop YouTube Channel including The Lallantop Show (दी लल्लनटॉप शो), Duniyaadiar (दुनियादारी), and Netanagari.

Previously, he worked with Aajtak, Star News, Dainik Bhaskar and Nav Bharat Times. He was one of the keynote speakers in the Jaipur Literature Festival 19th to 28th February 2021.[6]. He also appeared on TEDx Talks.[7][8]

Early Life

Saurabh Dwivedi was born in village Chamari in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. His father Ravikant Tripathi is a retired professor. He completed his senior secondary education from Jugal Kishore Kanpur, and graduation from DVC college. He completed his masters in mass communication from JNU, Delhi. While studying he found a job with India TV. In 2017 edition of Sony TV program Kaun Banega Crorepati, was selected as the Special Advisor In Kaun Banega Crorepati, where he worked with Amitabh Bacchan.[9][10]

Career

Dwivedi started his career with the NavBharat Times and later joined Dainik Bhaskar as a news editor. In 2013, he joined the India Today Group.

In 2016, Dwivedi launched The Lallantop, a Hindi news and media platform owned by the India Today Group. He is the editor-in-chief at The Lallantop and hosts various shows, such as The Lallantop Show, a daily prime-time news bulletin show; Netanagri, a weekly show covering politics and current affairs; and Duniyadaari, a show on global affairs and news. Lallantop has amassed a huge following, with over 40 million subscribers to its YouTube channel.

In 2022, The Lallantop launched Guest in Newsroom, a weekly unconventional interview show. Dwivedi hosts the show, which features conversations with guests from diverse fields. Guest in Newsroom has gained popularity for its RRR format, which keeps the show real, raw, and relatable.

Dwivedi is also known for his extensive election coverage across India and his "Jamghat" series of exclusive political interviews that have garnered millions of views.

In addition to his career as a renowned journalist, Dwivedi is also a frequent speaker at various institutions, like IIMs and IITs, and was a part of the Harvard India Conference. He is also a TEDx speaker. He has also been a keynote speaker several times at the Jaipur Literature Festival, including in 2021, 2023, and 2024, and is scheduled to speak at JLF 2025 as well.

Personal life

Dwivedi resides in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He is married to his wife, Gunjan Dwivedi, and has two children, a daughter and a son.
