Satrem is a small village of 2226 hectares in Satari Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Satrem depends on VALPOI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Satrem is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Satrem's pin code is 403506[5], and village code is 00012100. The area of Satrem is segregated as 4.44 hectares irrigated area, 10.22 hectares unirrigated, the 0.01 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20.58 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Satrem is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 176 and has total administration over 39 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of VALPOI and North Goa to sell country liquor and make their living.
