Sathees Kumar ( born 17 February 1983 in Salem , India) is an Indian Art Director / Production Designer , who works primarily in the Tamil cinema who started his film career with the Onaiyum Aatukuttiyum in 2013 . He is best known for his works in movies like OK Kanmani ( 2015 ) , Joker ( 2016 ) and Kaithi ( 2019 ) .
Early Life and Education
Sathees Kumar was born and brought up in Mecheri, Salem District , Tamil Nadu . He moved to Chennai for higher studies. He completed his Bachelor and Masters degree in Fine Arts in College Of Fine Arts(2003) Chennai.
Personal Life
Sathees is married to Mangaiyarkarasi ( m.2010 ) . The couple has one Daughter named Lakshana .
Film Career
Sathees , after completing his degree, started working as an assistant in director Bhagyaraj's Parijatham, and went on to assist in films such as Veyyil, Mugamoodi and Kadal to name a few. His first individual project as art director was in Mysskin's Onayum Aatukuttiyum, and there is no turning back.
