Sarthala is a small village of 1174 hectares in Bhinmal Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarthala depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 149.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sarthala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sarthala's pin code is 343029[4], and village code is 02298100. The area of Sarthala is segregated as 149 hectares irrigated area, 638 hectares unirrigated, the 258 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 129 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
