Sarmaliya is a small village of 461 hectares in Beawar Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sarmaliya depends on Beawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sarmaliya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sarmaliya's pin code is 305901[4], and village code is 02515900. The area of Sarmaliya is segregated as 96 hectares irrigated area, 75 hectares unirrigated, the 172.02 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 118 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sarmaliya is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1354 and has total administration over 289 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Beawar and Ajmer to sell ghee and make their living.
