Saraya is a small village of 183 hectares in Ballia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Saraya depends on Chitbara Gaon (, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Saraya's pin code is 277203[4], and village code is 09181800. The area of Saraya is segregated as 150 hectares irrigated area, 10 hectares unirrigated area. the 10 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Saraya has One post office (Dumari B.O). Saraya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chitbara Gaon ( and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
